Experienced Trauma Support Expert
Jeremiah co-founded the Trauma-Informed Excellence Academy to equip educators, other professionals, and caregivers with wisdom to manage challenging behaviors, creating a positive and supportive environment where all students feel safe and respected. When these strategies are implemented strategies they foster student engagement, resilience, and success leading to better academic results and personal growth. Jeremiah is dedicated to providing the necessary tools and guidance to help professionals make a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected by trauma. With a wealth of experience and expertise, Jeremiah offers valuable insights and proven strategies to navigate the complexities of trauma support.
Jeremiah was raised in the Appalachian region of south-eastern Ohio near the border of West Virginia. Growing up in one of the poorest regions of the United States provided him a first-hand view of the struggles that poverty wreaks and the trauma that comes with it.
After finishing his Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Jeremiah served in the Peace Corps for two-years as a Youth Development Specialist in Santa Maria, La Paz, Honduras. Subsequent to his Peace Corps term, he obtained a position as a math and science teacher at the Alison Bixby Stone Bilingual School. Upon his return back to the U.S., he enlisted in Americorps and obtained his Masters in Social Work, where his journey as a foster care social work truly began.

Now 13 years later, Jeremiah continues to be a dedicated social worker in child welfare, specializing in trauma in inner-city communities. He has created several different types of interactive workshop designed to equip professionals with the tools and strategies necessary to support students who have experienced trauma or are currently living in traumatic environments.
